Due to the fact that I strongly identify as a live performance artist, I tried whenever possible to record these tracks in a single take, with a single loop and as true to how they are performed live as would make sense in an album format. Most of them, especially those with a strong spoken word emphasis, are meant to be fluid and tend to change in some degree every time I perform. It runs retrograde to my nature to set a thing in stone and say "this is this forever" beyond establishing the basic bone marrow of a piece, which is why I do what I do.
Also, I get claustrophobic easily.
Hopefully the tracks herein provide an accurate snapshot of how these songs would sound if you could attend a show of mine tonight.
